In
furtherance to the strengthening mutual relations
between Peoples Progressive Party in Nigeria and the
Workers' Party of Korea in the Democratic Peoples
Republic of Korea; members of the embassy of DPRK in
Abuja participated in a deliberative meeting of the
zonal leaders of our party.
Discussions
were centered on the achievements of the Workers'
Party of Korea (WKP) in transforming the once poor
and vulnerable nation into a global power,
self-reliant in its economy and national defense;
and how the road traveled to the Korean miracle
could be adapted to suit Nigeria's peculiar
political and national landscape.
Both
sides also discussed modalities to strengthen the
ties between our two parties and our two nations.
In
a prepared
speech read by the DPRK Counselor in Nigeria,
the Embassy expressed thanks for the invitation to
attend PPP's leadership meeting, saying; "As a
participant of this meeting, I would like to
congratulate the leadership and all party members of
Peoples Progressive Party on your great successes
achieved before in your right works under the idea
of advancing the principle of freedom, decentralize
governance, and ensuring the dignity and worth of
every individual."
Going
further, he said; "In the past, Peoples
Progressive Party has always supported actively the
right cause of our Worker's Party of Korea and
Korean government for building the prosperous
socialist country and our Worker's Party of Korea
has also sent support and solidarity to the right
activities of Peoples Progressive Party for the
realization of its idea." |
