The
Peoples Progressive Party of Nigeria views with great
concern and alarm, the crucial
statement
of the
Supreme
headquarters
of the
Korean
People’s
Army
issued
on the 23rd of February 2016, accusing
hostile foreign forces of war moves and maneuvers
aimed
at
the Supreme Headquarters
of Korea;
and of attempting to target militarily the leader of a
sovereign state under the pretext of a peaceful satellite
launch, which is within the legitimate right of any state.
This
is absolutely
wrong
and
unacceptable.
It
is common
sense
to use
long-distance
missile
to carry
satellite
into the orbit and
every
country
possessing
its satellite
did so.
Therefore,
we deem it grossly unreasonable
to isolate and label only
the DPR of Korea
with the bogus claim of launching its
long-distance
missile for other ulterior motives, when the country
has asserted continually that it did so for clearly peaceful
use of its satellite.
Every
sovereign
state,
even
though it
is small
or not,
has
the same
right in
the international
arena;
and where
problems arise, they should be solved with dialogue,
not with war.
History
has shown that military actions
do not bring
peace
on the Korean peninsula.
Therefore,
the Peoples
Progressives
Party
of Nigeria
condemns
strongly
the military
actions
and maneuvers pushing
the Korean
peninsula
to the brink of
war.
We demand
the rolling back of all
hostile forces
on the Korean
peninsula in order
to give peace a real chance.
